Overview & Eligibility
Family-route applications for children depend on the child’s relationship with the parent, the parent’s UK status and the specific Family Rules that apply. Children already on a qualifying family route may have different extension requirements from children making a first application.
Case-specific: child applications are highly fact dependent, especially where parents are separated, one parent is outside the UK, or the child is over 18.
